This substantial, yet lovely, doily is made of many cluster stitches. About 1 ½” away from the edge of the doily are picots above which are stitches in the form of arches. The center resembles a flower, surrounded by a circle of clusters, then circles of chains, surrounded again by a solid round of stitching capped by clusters. A solid round of single crochet is edged by rounds of small chains; the outermost edge is made of closely set clusters topped by picots.Example of use. |
